JAMES DEAN (Cal Trask)

james dean James Dean (born 02/08/31 in Marion,IN) began his movie career in 1951 with the film Fixed Bayonets although this was just a small role which was followed up by another small role in the comedySailor Beware and 1952's Has Anybody Seen My Gal? Dean was also in various Television dramas and also appeared on Broadway inSee The Jaguar andThe Immoralist. His three major movie credits are East Of Eden Rebel Without A Cause and Giant. Sadly on September 30, 1955 this amazing actor was killed in an auto accident.

JULIE HARRIS (ABRA)

The stage career of Julie Harris, born 12/02/1928, has been a phenomenal one. She has won Tony Awards as best actress for I Am A Camera(1952), The Lark (1956), Forty Carats(1969), The Last Of Mrs. Lincoln(1973) & The Belle of Amherst(1977). Like James Dean, Julie was also a member of The Actors Studio. She has had a tremndous career on Television. Most recently on the drama series Knots Landing(1981-87). Some of her movie credits inlcude The Member Of The Wedding(1952), I Am A Camera(1955), The Haunting(1976), Gorillas In The Mist(1988) & Bad Manners(1998) Love Is Strange (1999) & The First Of May (1999) Julie has also made notable guest appearences on several television series over the years including Family Ties (1982) The Outer Limits (1995) and classic westerns such as Rawhide, Laredo, Bonanza, Big Valley & The Virginian. RAYMOND MASSEY(ADAM TRASK)

raymond massey Raymond Massey was born 08/30/1896 in Toronto, Canada. By the time he made East Of Eden in 1955, he had alread appeared in more than forty films over a 25 year period. His film career includes Abe Lincoln In Illinois(Best Actor Oscar Nomination,1940), Arsenic and Old Lace(1946), Battle Cry(1955) & How The West Was Won(1963). On Television Massey starred as Dr.Leonard Gillespie inDr.Kildare(1961-66). Raymond Massey passed away from pneumonia on July 29, 1983.

RICHARD DAVALOS (AARON TRASK)

Richard Davalos has had somewhat of a disappointing career after his stellar performance in East Of Eden. Not much is known about him personally. Some of his film credits include I Died A Thousand Times(1955), Cool Hand Luke (1967), Kelly's Heroes(1970) & Something Wicked This Way Comes(1983). He was in the 1961 television series The Americans(1961). He also made several other guest appearences on numerous television series such as Murder She Wrote, Hart To Hart, The Fall Guy, The Jeffersons, Hawaii Five-0, The Rockford Files, Perry Mason, Dr.Kildare & Bonanza. richard davalos

BURL IVES (SHERIFF SAM COOPER)

burl ives Burl Ives, born Burl Ivanhoe on 06/14/1909, holds the titles of actor, singer and professional football player in his career. His film credits includeCat On A Hot Tin Roof(1958), Big Country(Best Supporting Actor Oscar, 1958), The Brass Bottle(1964), Just You And Me Kid(1979) & Two Moon Junction(1988). His televsion credits include The Lawyers(1969-72) & Roots(1977). He is also remembered for his contriubtion as narrator and song performer in the animated Christmas classsicRudolph:The Rednose Reindeer. Burl Ives passed away from cancer on April 14, 1995.

JO VAN FLEET (KATE)

Jo Van Fleet, born 12/30/1914 won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Kate inEast Of Eden (her film debut). Like James Dean and Julie Harris, she was a member of the Actors Studio. Her stage credits includeCamino Road(1953), The Trip Bountiful(Best Supporting Actress Tony winner,1954) & Look Homeward Angel(1958). Other film credits includeThe Rose Tattoo(1955), I'll Cry Tomorrow(1955), Gunfight At The OK Corral(1957),Cool Hand Luke(1967) & Still The Day(1986). ELIA KAZAN(DIRECTOR)

elia kazan Elia Kazan, born Elia Kazanjoglous on 09/07/1909 and known as 'Gadge',has had a remarkable career which has included directing both Montgomery Clift The Skin of Our Teeth and Marlon BrandoStreetcar Named Desire on Broadway. He also won Tony Awards as Best Director for All My Sons(1947) & Death Of A Salesman(1949). He has also won an Oscar for Gentleman's Agreement(1947) and nominated for another for the film version ofStreetcar Named Desire(1951). His phenomenal career has included A Tree Grows In Brooklyn(1945), On The Waterfront(Best Director Oscar, 1954), Baby Doll(1956), Splendor In The Grass(1961) & The Last Tycoon(1976). Sadly, Elia Kazan passed away on September 28 2003 from natural causes.
